TNT Crane & Rigging recently utilized its 800 ton Demag AC700 crane to lift a series of bridge column caps for the new interchange at Beltway 8 eastbound and Hwy 288 southbound.

Later, steel reinforced concrete beams were laid on top of the caps to complete the span. Each cap was precisely aligned with the columns' anchor bolts.

One of the unique aspects of this job is we "walked" the assembled crane, counter weights and all, into position between each lift. "Walking" the crane significantly reduced the setup time between each lift.
